1. She’s a television and movie star.
Fans know Gloria as one of the women of the reality television show, Basketball Wives. She was on the original series from 2010 to 2011 before joining the spin-off, Basketball Wives: L.A., in 2011 and 2012. Gloria has also appeared on Fashion News Live, Home & Family and has acted in movies like Chocolate City and More Money, More Family.
2. Gloria was Matt’s childhood sweetheart.
Gloria and Matt first met when they were both in the 8th grade. “I remember I had braces and looked a disaster,” Gloria told Latina.com. Though these two grew up together, they didn’t start dating until 2006. Matt was playing with the Golden State Warriors in Gloria’s hometown of Oakland when they bumped into each other. From there, the two started dating and fell in love.
3. She’s a mother of twins!
Gloria and Matt welcomed their twin sons, Carter Kelly Barnes and Isaiah Michael Barnes, on November 6, 2008, according to Heavy.com. The two boys were actually how Matt found out that Derek was over at Gloria’s home during the Oct. 3 incident. Isaiah and Carter called up their daddy and told him Derek was spending time with their mom, reports the New York Post.
4. Gloria is still married to Matt and Derek is still married to his wife!
Matt and Gloria tied the knot in 2012, but their relationship only lasted for two years after that. The couple separated in Oct. 2014. Their divorce has yet to be finalized. Gloria and Derek reportedly started dating a few months ago, shortly after Derek himself filed for divorce from his wife of ten years, Candace Fisher, reports TMZ.
5. When Gloria’s not busy dealing with fights, she’s focused on her career.
Gloria keeps busy with her entertainment career. She partnered with UFC to star in a commercial promoting their association with the Fox television network. She has also been involved in charity work and her own businesses. Her cookbook, A Mixed Girl’s Favorite Recipes, was published by Tate Publishing in 2014. She’s also stays in shape and was reportedly working on a Fitness video.
