The firm has launched 'Replays' - its first in-app purchase that gives users three chances to relive messages again for $0.99 (65p).
Snapchat has also rolled out a feature called 'Lenses,' to add art to selfies, and 'Trophies' to reward its top users.
A blog post from the company said: 'Today, US Snapchatters can purchase extra Replays, starting at 3 for $0.99.
'You can use a Replay on any Snap you receive, but you can only Replay any Snap once. They're a little pricey - but time is money! ;)'
Snapchat is also offering 10 Replays for $2.99 and 20 Replays for $4.99.
However, if they have already used their free daily Replay on a Snap, they cannot purchase an additional Replay for that particular Snap.
For now, purchasing additional Replays is only available to countries whose app stores operate in US dollars and there is currently no word as to when the feature will come to the UK.
Replay purchases are made directly through the App Store or Google Play Store.
